Insolvency
tbi's corporate recovery and insolvency team deals with all aspects of personal and corporate insolvency, advising on both contentious and non contentious matters. We appreciate that dealing with financial difficulties is a stressful and time consuming process. We aim to provide realistic advice to ensure that the stress and disruption is minimised and a practical solution achieved.
We provide guidance to both companies and directors in relation to all corporate insolvency procedures, including liquidation, administration and voluntary arrangements for companies and partnerships. It is important that directors obtain advice at the earliest opportunity to ensure that any potential for personal liability is avoided or minimised so far as possible.
We also advise individuals in relation to the options available to them including bankruptcy and individual voluntary arrangements. We offer a wealth of experience having regularly acted on behalf of trustees in bankruptcy and supervisors of voluntary arrangements. We also act on procedural matters including applications to annul bankruptcy orders.
We receive instructions from and liaise with insolvency practitioners at accountancy and specialist insolvency firms around the region. We also work closely with the corporate and commercial property teams ensuring that specialist advice and assistance is provided on a deal where necessary.
