Options on Land and Conditional Contracts


Have you found a site which would be perfect if only it had the benefit of planning permission? Would you like the security of knowing that you can purchase the site at a later date without being gazumped?

Whether you are a sole trader looking at a plot of land for one or two houses or a large developer looking at a site for a multi-million pound development tbi can help you secure the land. Don't run the risk of the seller deciding to increase the asking price or sell the land to a third party. An option agreement gives you the protection to enable you to make a planning application and to carry out a full assessment into the viability of your proposals whilst placing an obligation on the seller to sell the land to you as agreed.

Alternatively, a contract conditional upon (for example) the obtaining of planning consent, a ground investigation survey, an environmental impact assessment, a liquor licence or a suitable access may be more suitable for you. tbi can advise you on the advantages and disadvantages of both.
