Ian Cowan completed his training with TBI in 2007 and is now based at the Barnard Castle office, dealing primarily with agricultural matters and commercial property.

As well as being a solicitor Ian also farms commercially in Weardale, running a livestock and arable farm with his wife and three sons. This ensures he has an understanding of the practical issues as well as the legal issues affecting agriculture.

Ian is also a member of the Agricultural Law Association, the National Farmers Union and the Country Land and Business Association.
