Industrial Deafness: Claiming Compensation

Have you suffered a loss of hearing because of your working environment? If so, you could be entitled to compensation for industrial deafness.

We have successfully obtained compensation from many local employers including British Steel, ICI and Head Wrightsons.

Years of exposure to high or extreme levels of noise can permanently damage hearing. If you worked in factories or industries with high levels of noise and have suffered damage to your hearing because your employer failed to take steps to prevent it, you could make a claim against them.

Historical & Multiple-Employer Claims

Even if you’ve only recently discovered your hearing has been affected because of work you did some years ago, you could still make a claim. And if your past employer is no longer trading, all is not lost as here at TBI we have an excellent track record in having companies reinstated so that a claim can be pursued.

If your hearing impairment resulted from jobs with more than one employer, we can make a collective claim against all the parties involved.

High level expertise in industrial deafness claims like that offered by TBI is your best avenue if you want to win the maximum compensation possible. We’ll fight to make sure your payout is fair and representative of the damages caused to you.

Recent Client Stories

£6,750 Settlement for Hearing Impaired Print Operator

Our client worked as a print operator for British Polythene & Industries, British Visqueen and ICI between 1970 and his retirement in 1999. During the course of his employment he was exposed to excessive levels of noise. He did not realise his hearing was impaired until he retired and found his wife was complaining that he had the television on too loud, and that he was asking her to repeat herself in conversations.

We arranged for an audiogram, a specialist hearing test, which showed that he was suffering from industrial deafness. We entered into negotiations with the companies' insurers and the claim settled in the sum of £6,750.
