Cosmetic surgery in the UK has increased dramatically in the last few years. Unfortunately, safety procedures have not caught up. With little regulation in this area, hundreds of small clinics have emerged, promising to enlarge, remove, smooth and enhance all aspects of our bodies. Sadly, all too often, these clinics fail to deliver and can cause lasting damage to the patient.
Cosmetic surgery for breast enlargement; laser eye treatment; face lifts; liposuction and nose jobs are now common place. However, injuries as a result of the surgery are also becoming more common including scarring, burns and damage to nerves. You can also make a claim as a result of a general lack of effective consultation about the potential risks of any surgery.
