Court of Protection - Wills & Probate

Home sub menu option Private Client sub menu option Wills & Probate

The Court of Protection has the power to appoint people to manage your affairs, if you become mentally incapable and do not have a Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA).

Your Receiver (usually a family member) will then be able to deal with your financial affairs, under the supervision of the Court of Protection. Here at tbi we have considerable experience applying for Receivership Orders and dealing with the Court of Protection.

A better solution is, while you are fit and well, to appoint someone to look after your affairs. We would therefore recommend you sign an EPA.
