Tilly Bailey & Irvine Supports Age UK Teesside Wills Month Launch

  • Posted

We recently supported Age UK Teesside in its first ever Wills month.

Tilly Bailey & Irvine law firm’s offices across Teesside supported Age UK Teesside by writing wills for free in lieu of a donation to the charity.  One hundred per cent of the donation is given to the charity to enable it to provide its valued services to the communities of Stockton, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool and Redcar and Cleveland.

The response was fantastic: we advised many clients during the month amounting to over £2,500 in donations for Age UK Teesside.

Nicola Dalzell, Partner and Head of the firm’s Wills and Probate team, comments: “We were delighted to be asked by Age UK Teesside to work exclusively with them on the launch of their first ever Wills Month initiative and we are pleased it has been such a success for the charity and everyone it serves.  Anne and her team at Age UK Teesside work exceptionally hard for our community and we were thrilled to play our part.  We look forward to working with them again in the future.”

Anne Sykes, Chief Executive of Age UK Teesside, comments: “This has been a perfect example of working in partnership with the private sector in order to support the older people of Teesside.  Tilly Bailey & Irvine have helped us to ensure that those people who may have avoided making a will because of the cost can have access to important legal services and peace of mind.  Our first Wills month has been extremely successful and this would not have raised vital funds for services to the older people across Teesside without the hard work of Nicola and her team at Tilly Bailey and Irvine. We look forward to making Wills Month a regular date in our diary”.
