We have a full-time vacancy in our Hartlepool office to increase our Accounts team as we continue to grow.
What you’ll do:
Assist with all functions in the Accounts department including:

Process payments made by clients over the phone

Accounts payable - posting and generating bills

Process BACS and transfer payments
-
Purchase ledger - invoice payments
-
Post fee-earners' bills and cheque requests
-
Produce and post credit notes and bill amendments
-
Process disbursement write-offs, fees and WIP
-
Answering queries and working with colleagues in relation to client ledgers and admin procedures.

Conduct data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
-
Support the team with administrative tasks related to financial operations
Desired skills and personal qualities:
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or above) or equivalent or or AAT Level 1 Award in Accounting or equivalent
- Genuine interest in working in an Accounts environment
- Good level of IT Skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills with strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Able to use own initiative
- Good professional conduct
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
- Processing payments.
- Processing cash/cheque/card payments made by clients over the counter and card payments over the telephone.
- Administering petty cash.
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
