We are seeking two Family Law Solicitors or CILEX Lawyers to join our busy Family Department in Hartlepool to undertake Public Law Children matters.
The successful candidates will manage a caseload of predominantly Public Law Children matters, providing legal advice and support to clients throughout proceedings. The role requires strong client care, advocacy, drafting, and case management skills, together with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Main Duties and Requirements
• Manage a caseload of Public Law Children matters from instruction through to conclusion.
• Provide high-quality legal advice and representation to clients, including court advocacy.
• Draft legal documents, including Children Act applications, witness statements, orders and instructions to experts and Counsel.
• Complete Legal Help and Public Funding Forms, assessing eligibility where appropriate.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, Counsel, and external professionals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering obligations.
You will need to have a genuine passion for this area of law with a commitment to providing an excellent and prompt service to the public.
You should have at least 2 years' experience within Public Family Law.
You will need to have excellent time management skills and good PC and case management skills.
