We are seeking a Solicitor to join our busy Family department in Stockton to undertake public law children work.
You must be capable of running your own public law caseload.
Children Panel status is preferable but not a requirement and there is scope to progress to this status within the role.
You will work as part of a large legal aid family law team who cover a variety of family law disciplines.
This role offers the opportunity of career progression within the firm.
Main duties and requirements
In addition to the above you will need to demonstrate experience in:
• Advising clients.
• Drafting court documents.
• Undertaking advocacy at court.
• Have a full understanding of the Legal Aid process.
You will need to have a genuine passion for this area of law with a commitment to providing an excellent and prompt service to the public.
You should be a qualified Solicitor.
You will need to have excellent time management skills and good PC and case management skills.
