Last week we attended the Northern Law Awards as our Private Family were nominated for three awards – Lawyer of the Year, Rising Star, and Team of the Year – Family Law.
The night was a fantastic way of celebrating the legal industry in the North East and we are proud to have even been shortlisted as finalists.
There was, however, one stand out moment of the evening. Jessica Inman, Solicitor within the team rose to victory in her category, being named as the winner of the Rising Star award.
In order to be shortlisted for this category, nominees must demonstrate a number of legal skills including knowledge, ability to contribute to the future management and growth of an organisation. The Judges were impressed by the dedication Jess shows to her work with comments such as "She is engaging, confident” “she uses initiative in the early stages of her career” “She has an undoubted passion for the role."
Wendy Beacom, Partner at Tilly Bailey & Irvine, and Head of the Private Family Law Team accepted the award on Jess’s behalf. Wendy says: “Jess’s passion for family law and helping her clients was apparent right from the start. She has proven herself to be a key member of the team and will continue to build on her already successful career. I am absolutely thrilled for her to have won this award which is very much deserved.”
