Legal Aid

Due to a change in law on 1st April 2013 there is no longer legal aid for the majority of family cases, with the exception for matters which involve social services, domestic abuse or child abduction. It has certainly made the funding of case more complex. However, there seems to be a belief amongst the general public that legal aid or other funding options are no longer available. This is not the case.

We offer all clients an initial free consultation, either in our office or over the telephone and will be able to tell you if we are able to represent you. We will discuss if you are eligible for legal aid, and if not, will provide you with a full estimate of costs.
