I started working here when it was Bolsover Manning & Scott as a Secretary in the Probate Department in 1990. I then attended day release and night school to become a Legal Executive. I have worked in Probate, Conveyancing, Personal Injury and Family departments. I became a Paralegal within the Family Department in 2002.
Experience and Expertise:
I provide advice in relation to domestic violence and obtaining injunctions and occupation orders, forced marriage protection orders and honour based violence, divorce, private disputes over children and advice when parents face their children being taken into care.
I have recently had a case of “revenge porn” where I obtained an injunction to prevent an ex partner from disclosing private and intimate photos & videos which is relatively new and the first we have done in this firm.
Corporate Social Responsibility/Pro Bono/Community Relations:
Tilly Bailey & Irvine support My Sisters Place and the local refuges such as Harbour that in turn support victims of domestic abuse (male & female). I hold drop in legal surgeries several times per week and provide advice on a free of charge basis for those clients who do not qualify for legal aid and therefore would otherwise have no access to legal advice if they cannot afford a solicitor.
