Due to growth within our Private Client department, we are looking for the right people for the following roles: 

Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (2 years + PQE)

We are looking for an additional Private Client Fee Earner to work within the Wills, Trusts & Probate team on a varied caseload in terms of complexity of matters and we can therefore provide work to suit any level of experience.

Legal Secretary - Private Client

We are looking for a Legal Secretary to support the expansion of the Private Client department.  Ideally, you will have experience within the legal sector but excellent typing, organisational and client care skills are essential for this role so if you have worked in a similar role in a different sector and feel you have the right skills, we would love to hear from you.   

Our highly successful Personal Injury, Industrial Disease & Clinical Negligence team is also expanding and we are looking to fill the following vacancies: 

Industrial Disease & PI Fee Earner - Hartlepool  

We have a vacancy with excellent prospects for an experienced Industrial Disease Fee Earner.  The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running and manage their own caseload of varied good quality ID work with minimal supervision.  

Paralegal - Hartlepool

You will handle a wide range of cases including investigating and collating evidence, providing legal advice to clients, drafting proceedings and negotiating settlements. You will have the support of two experienced Partners and lawyers within the team but must have an existing knowledge and experience within a Private Litigation environment. This is a full-time position. Closing date: 22nd July 2022    

Legal Secretary - Hartlepool

We are looking for an experienced secretary to join the team to assist with typing from dictation, dealing with client calls, liaising with third parties and assisting our legal professionals in progressing cases. Excellent typing, accuracy, organisational and client care skills are essential. This role is preferably full-time.

Employment Lawyer - Based in Wynyard

We are looking for an experienced individual with energy and enthusiasm to help to grow our Employment Law team.  The role will involve lots of business development. The legal work will cover contentious and non-contentious matters, working closely with the Firm’s commercial departments. Our clients are primarily owner managed businesses, private companies, LLPs, partnerships and individuals. The successful candidate will probably be at or looking to make the step up to partnership.  

Commercial Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive  (2 -5 years PQE) - Wynyard

The successful candidate will join a team headed by two Commercial Litigation Partners. This position will provide exposure to high quality, complex and varied work across the North of England and beyond, with regular client contact and business development opportunities.  It is a great opportunity to develop your skill set in a supportive environment where you will be responsible for managing your own case load and assisting the partners on larger, more complex matters, which will include B2B contract disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, professional negligence, property litigation, construction and engineering disputes, contentious probate and defamation. There will be opportunities to specialise and develop a class-leading profile as the team grows.

Legal Secretary - Commercial Property - Wynyard 

The Commercial Property team in our Wynyard office require a full-time Legal Secretary to support the team of Partners and lawyers. Ideally, you will have experience within the legal sector but excellent typing, organisational and client care skills are essential for this role so if you have worked in a similar role in a different sector and feel you have the right skills, we would love to hear from you.   

Float Legal Secretary - All Sites

We have a vacancy for a full time Float Legal Secretary whose first assignment will be 9 to 12 months maternity cover in our Personal Injury department in Hartlepool. We are looking for someone with good typing, organisation and client care skills.

New Build Conveyancing Executive or Solicitor - Based in Hartlepool

Our successful New Build Residential Conveyancing team is looking for a new addition to provide advice and assistance to clients in relation to New Build matters. 

New Build Admin Assistant - Hartlepool

Providing support to the New Build team in the progression of new build residential property transactions through to completion. This is a busy and varied role which would suit a highly organised person with great client care skills.

Trainee Solicitors

As a Firm we are very proud to be able to develop our people and to support them to become qualified Chartered Legal Executives and Solicitors.  

We regularly review our business needs and always welcome applications from those who have completed the LPC and are looking for a Period of Recognised Training.  A more recent trend has been for us to progress people internally and we currently have lots of employees developing from support roles to fee earner roles via Legal Apprenticeships and other CILEx pathways.  We are also very pleased the SRA have the new SQE pathway to qualifying.  We welcome anyone who is wishing to have a career in law and/or is struggling to secure a training contract to apply for any of the above support roles as a way to develop your knowledge and to have your potential recognised.
